Caisse Solidaire (France)

Established in 1997, Caisse Solidaire gathers the deposits of savers to grant loans promoting solidarity, the creation of employment and/or activities of a social, environmental and cultural nature In the region of Nord Pas-de-Calais.

Solidarity expressed through private saving allows getting the necessary funds to start a project and the development of a new social and solidarity-based economy in the region.

Caisse Solidaire is a financial association linked to Crédit Coopératif, ensuring its liquidity and viability. Caisse Solidaire is also a member of Finansol.


The main shareholders in Caisse Solidaire:

Crédit Coopératif, Conseil Régional Nord Pas de Calais, le Crédit Agricole Nord de France, Finorpa, la MACIF, la Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, Autonomie et Solidarité, l’Union Régionale des Scop, Socoden, la Fondation pour le Progrès de l’Homme.

Its Ethics Committee:

It is listed in the by-laws of Caisse Solidaire, serving the purpose of ensuring that its activities are coherent with the principles which lead to its creation. It is made up of 10 to 15 members, appointed by its General Assembly, who may not be directors or employees of the bank. This ethics committee submits an annual report to the General Assembly.

Its Commitment Board: It is in charge of designating each case that requires studying. It is made up of members who do not belong to Caisse Solidaire, represented by the network of members and provide an enriching experience for the creation, financing and support to the economic and/or social solidarity activities.
